Levanto: ancient agricultural village…merchant and maritime municipality and starting in the 1800’s a renowned tourism centre called “the gateway to the Cinque Terre”.
Its valley opens up like an amphitheatre with large vineyards and olive groves interrupted by small rural settlements that recall its history.
The residential centre with more than 5,000 inhabitants offers a wide bay, which is often the destination of surfboarders, gardens and ancient settlements of artistic and historic importance as well as a high level of hospitality with accommodations, restaurants and shops.
There are various tourism-recreational activities and gastronomic events with typical local products. It is the starting point for the main paths of the Cinque Terre and for the surrounding valley.
Every Monday at 6:00 p.m. let’s meet on Piazza Cavour for an exciting walking tour through Medieval Levanto, to discover history, curiosities and hidden beauties of the village.

The Permanent Exhibition of Material Culture includes about 300 objects mainly from Levanto and its district. You will find documented tools of peasant labor, the cultivation of grapes and olives, animal husbandry, home furnishing items, games and folk traditions.
The exhibition is housed at the Ospitalia del Mare and entrance is free.
Besides the sea, an enviable network of hiking paths, cycling trails and mountain bike descents, Levanto offers an extremely interesting events’ schedule.
Events dedicated to wine, music, local traditions, sport and pure entertainment. Events for young and old, which offer unforgettable moments.
Our favorites? The Mangialonga, but also appointments like SenSuoSa, Garibalvini, the Amfiteatrof Festival, the Carnival of August and many more …
Cinque Terre: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore, 5 small towns entrenched in the cliffs overlooking a transparent sea,. The realm of traditions, culture, colours and flavours where man wrenched the land from the mountain to give life to a characteristic landscape of terraces with dry-stone walls cultivated with grapevines and olive trees, kissed by the sun and lulled by the sea.
An area praised and extolled by poets and artists recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and protected by the National Park of the 5 Terre.
